GNK Dinamo Zagreb have this week officially presented a new goalkeeper and agreed the return of one of their former stars. The club confirmed the arrival of Dominik Kotarski and finalised details for the comeback of Luka Ivanušec, according to reports from sports portals.
Who is Dominik Kotarski?
Dominik Kotarski has officially become a Dinamo player, as reported by Gol.hr and 24sata Sport. The Croatian national team goalkeeper joins on loan from Danish side Copenhagen, with the club holding an option to buy his contract at the end of the 2026/27 season. Kotarski returns to Maksimir after eight and a half years, having grown up in the blue shirt since 2011.
After leaving for Ajax at age 18, his path led through Gorica, PAOK and Copenhagen. In Greece, he won a league title and was named the best goalkeeper in the championship. He has four caps for Croatia and was in the wider squad for the 2026 World Cup. "I am truly happy and excited, I am finally home," Kotarski told Gol.hr. "Dinamo has always been my club, since childhood, my only football love."
Why is Luka Ivanušec returning?
Luka Ivanušec is returning to Dinamo after three years, sources confirmed to Index.hr Sport. The Croatian international is leaving Feyenoord by mutual consent and will sign for the Zagreb club as a free agent. According to information, a three-year contract with an option for an additional season has been agreed.
Ivanušec left Dinamo in 2023 but failed to establish himself as a regular starter in Rotterdam. He spent last season on loan at PAOK. His return brings experience and flexibility to the offensive midfield, which will be valuable in the upcoming Europa League matches. He is now expected to undergo a medical to complete the transfer fully.
