Forward Lovre Kulušić is leaving GNK Dinamo Zagreb for a loan move to Lokomotiva in the Croatian First Football League. First team coach Jerko Leko confirmed the young player's departure following the second team's match against Kustošija this week.

Dinamo Zagreb currently leads the HNL table with 13 points from five matches, remaining unbeaten in their last five games. With four wins and one draw, the team has scored 12 goals while conceding only three.

Lovre Kulušić, who turns 20 in November, is joining Lokomotiva on loan. The player arrived at Dinamo in the summer of 2025 from Šibenik. Last season he spent on loan at Slovenian club Bravo and Vukovar 1991 in the Croatian Second Football League. In 36 appearances at that level, he scored four goals and provided one assist.

This season, Kulušić has been playing for Dinamo's second team in the First NL. He made four appearances, scoring one goal and registering one assist. Although a natural striker, he can also play on the wings and as a second striker. His departure is part of the rotation of young players at the club.

Jerko Leko commented on Kulušić's departure after the second team's match, where they defeated Kustošija 1-0 with a goal from Gabrijel Šivalec. "I would especially like to thank Kulušić for everything." Leko told Net.hr Sportski. The coach added that Leonardo Perković and Mislav Ćutuk are also in the picture.

Dinamo's second team had a good week, as they celebrated a 6-2 victory over Vukovar just days before beating Kustošija. The current situation in the first team can be seen in more detail on our squad page.

Dinamo Zagreb's first team is achieving solid results at the start of the season. From five matches played, they have secured four wins and one draw. Their form in the last five matches is DWDDW, meaning they haven't lost a single game. With 12 goals scored and only three conceded, their goal difference stands at +9.

This table position gives the team confidence ahead of upcoming challenges. The next important test will be the away match against Osijek, who currently sit in third place. You can always check the current standings on our standings page.

Kulušić's departure opens up space for other young players in Dinamo's second team. Jerko Leko mentioned the names of Leonardo Perković and Mislav Ćutuk in this context. The second team continues competing in the First NL with the goal of developing players for the first team.

Dinamo Zagreb has a well-known academy that continuously produces talent. The loan to Lokomotiva should give Kulušić more minutes in the top Croatian league and further development. His next appearance will be in Lokomotiva's jersey, while Dinamo will visit Osijek on September 12th in the sixth round of the HNL.
