Newcastle United is among five clubs tracking Dinamo Zagreb's 19-year-old right-back Noa Mikić. Bayer Leverkusen and English sides Brentford, Hull City and Ipswich Town are also analysing the young defender, but no official bid has yet been made to the Croatian champions.
"Bayer Leverkusen & English clubs (Newcastle, Brentford, Hull City, Ipswich Town) closely monitoring Dinamo's 19yo RB Noa Mikić," Ekrem Konur said. He added: "Situation → 5 clubs analyzing, no official bid yet."
The scouting interest was sparked by Mikić's performance for Dinamo's under-21 side against Newcastle's youth team in December 2025. That match, part of the Premier League International Cup, was played at Whitley Park and ended in a 3-0 win for the Croatian side. Mikić had joined Dinamo just two months prior, in October 2025, and is under contract until the summer of 2028. He is a Croatia Under-19 international with 18 caps.
Dinamo currently sit top of the HNL table with 16 points from seven games, with a trip to second-placed Hajduk Split next on the schedule. The team is in solid form with three wins from its last five matches.
Newcastle's recruitment strategy under Matthias Jaissle is focused on players who can develop into long-term first-team options. While the multi-club interest is a clear marker of Mikić's potential, Dinamo hold a strong negotiating position due to his lengthy contract and their place at the summit of the domestic league.
