GNK Dinamo Zagreb has announced a schedule change for its upcoming match in the SuperSport HNL. Saturday's Round 6 fixture against HNK Gorica at Maksimir will now kick off at 6 PM, one hour later than the originally planned 5 PM start.

The club released the information through its official channels. "Change of time for Saturday's match." Dinamo said.

The reason for shifting the kick-off is the exceptionally high temperatures recorded this week. The change is not an isolated case but part of a broader decision to move all Saturday and Sunday matches of the sixth HNL round one hour later. Entering this matchweek, the club sits third in the table with 10 points from four played matches. Dinamo currently has a record of three wins and one draw, remaining unbeaten in the league so far. With 11 goals scored and only 3 conceded, the Blues have an impressive goal difference of +8.

The leading pair, NK Osijek and NK Varaždin, both have 12 points, meaning Dinamo is just two points behind with a game in hand. This makes every win from now on extremely important in the title race.

Dinamo enters this match following a 2:2 draw against Istra 1961 in the previous round. With 10 points, they share third place with Hajduk but hold a superior goal difference. In contrast, Gorica is struggling at the bottom of the table. After five rounds played, the visitors from Istria have just one point and occupy tenth place. In the fifth round, they played a goalless 0:0 draw at home against Rijeka. The current placement of all teams can be seen in our standings overview.

For Dinamo, this is an opportunity to strengthen their position and close the gap on the top two before playing their game in hand. The team is currently on a four-match unbeaten run, with a recent sequence of win-draw-win-win.

The change to the Dinamo vs. Gorica match is part of a wider shift for the entire round. Here is the complete, updated schedule for Round 6 of the SuperSport HNL:

As seen in the table, all Saturday and Sunday matches have been shifted by one hour. Alongside Dinamo's match, the same shift applies to the Rudeš vs. Hajduk derby in Velika Gorica, which also starts at 6 PM. The later evening slots feature Rijeka vs. Osijek and Slaven Belupo vs. Lokomotiva, both kicking off at 9 PM.

On paper, Dinamo is the clear favorite against a team that has managed only one point in five matches. However, the Blues must show focus and quality after the draw in Pula. Any points dropped now could be decisive in a tight title race where they are just two points behind Osijek and Varaždin. The match at Maksimir against Gorica is scheduled for Saturday, 5 September 2026.
