GNK Dinamo Zagreb has already earned an impressive 14.9 million euros from this season's European competitions. The figures were published by the portal Index.hr Sport, which analyzed UEFA's reward mechanisms for clubs that qualified for the group stages.

The club from Maksimir is competing in the Europa League group stage, where they will play a total of eight matches. Each win in the group is worth 450,000 euros, and a draw brings in 150,000 euros. Just three wins and two draws in this phase would add another 1.65 million euros to the budget. Dinamo is also among the first eight clubs to have already received an additional 600,000 euros for qualifying for the Europa League, while clubs ranked 9th to 16th receive 300,000 euros.

The path to further millions is open if Dinamo extends their European season. Reaching the Europa League round of 16 is worth 1.75 million euros. The quarter-finals carry a prize of 2.5 million, while the semi-finals bring in 4.2 million euros. If they managed to reach the final, the prize is seven million euros. These amounts do not include revenue from ticket sales or other commercial activities related to home European matches, meaning the total financial benefit is even greater.

For comparison, HNK Hajduk Split, competing in the UEFA Conference League group stage, has secured at least 5.2 million euros. In that league, a group stage win is worth 400,000 euros, and a draw brings a certain amount. Two wins and two draws would bring them an additional 1.066 million euros. The top eight clubs in the Conference League group receive 400,000 euros, and those from 9th to 16th place get 200,000 euros. Rewards for further stages are lower than in the Europa League: 800,000 for the round of 16, 1.3 million for the quarter-finals, 2.5 million for the semi-finals, and four million for the final.

Besides Dinamo and Hajduk, other Croatian teams are also generating European revenue. Rijeka is expected to earn approximately 1.3 million euros, while Varaždin can count on around 500,000 euros. These revenues will play an important role in the financial stability of the clubs and planning for the coming seasons.

While preparing for European challenges, Dinamo is also in solid form in the domestic league. They are currently third in the HNL standings with 10 points from four played matches. The record is three wins and one draw, with a recent run of form of DWWW. The club has scored 11 goals, conceded three, and has a +8 goal difference. The gap to leaders NK Osijek is just two points, promising an exciting title race.

The next step for the Blues is a home match against HNK Gorica, scheduled for tomorrow, September 5, 2026. Gorica is currently in 10th place in the table.
