GNK Dinamo Zagreb has sent one of its biggest talents, defender Marko Zebić, on loan to Rudeš. The club confirmed the move, which will last for the remainder of the half-season.

Dinamo has long considered Zebić one of the most interesting centre-backs from its academy. The initial plan was for him to be a key player for the newly formed second team in the Prva NL. However, the club assessed that a loan to the SuperSport HNL would provide more minutes and faster development. Zebić made five official appearances for the first team last season, including full 90-minute matches in the league against Hajduk, Slaven Belupo, and Lokomotiva. He was also captain of the youth team that won the league and cup double. Now he needs continuity at a higher level.

Marko Zebić is 19 years old and the captain of the Croatia U-19 national team that reached the European Championship semifinals last year. In June 2025, he signed a professional contract with Dinamo that runs until the summer of 2028. At the Mladen Ramljak international youth tournament, he previously won the Ismet Hadžić award for best defender. This season he started with Dinamo II, playing the full 90 minutes in the first three rounds of the Prva NL against BSK, Orijenta, and Vukovar. Dinamo II recorded two losses and one win in those matches.

Rudeš earned promotion to the SuperSport HNL last season. The club significantly changed its squad during the summer transfer window. New signings include the experienced Junior Fernandes and Kristijan Lovrić, and former Croatian international Dejan Lovren has also been linked. After five rounds of the new season, Rudeš are eighth in the table with three points. Zebić is expected to immediately compete for a starting place. Dinamo will closely monitor his progress as they count on him as a future player for the Maksimir-based team.

Dinamo currently sits third in the SuperSport HNL with 10 points from four games. Their record is three wins and one draw, with a recent form of DWWW. They have scored 11 goals and conceded just three, giving them a +8 goal difference. They trail league leaders NK Osijek by just two points. Their next key fixture is away against Osijek on September 12, 2026.

Dinamo highlighted Zebić in early June as one of the young players who imposed themselves on the senior team last season. Now his path for further development has led to Rudeš, where he will aim to prove his worth in the Croatian top flight. His professional contract with Dinamo has two more seasons to run.
