The Croatian powerhouse Dinamo has secured their place in the Champions League play-offs with a victory over Kauno Žalgiris in a 2-1 (2-0) match. The key goals for Dinamo were scored by Lukas Kačavenda in the 19th minute and Josip Mišić with two strikes from 20 meters in the 30th minute, which doubled their lead.

Dinamo finished the game with a total score of 7-1, and they will now face Norwegian Viking for a place in the Champions League. The first match is scheduled to take place at Maksimir on Tuesday, August 18 (21:00), while the return leg is planned for Wednesday, August 26 (21:00) in Stavanger.

The news is indeed positive as Dinamo has secured their spot in the Champions League group stage for the upcoming season. However, the players will need to maintain high concentration levels to successfully navigate through this play-off round.

Dinamo was reduced to ten men in the 32nd minute due to a player being sent off outside the penalty area, where Ivan Filipović was substituted by Ivan Nevistić. Mateo Lisica had to come out of the game as well.

Kauno Žalgiris managed to reduce the deficit in the 56th minute, with Gabrijel Debeljuh scoring for the Lithuanian side.
