GNK Dinamo Zagreb celebrated its 115th birthday with a special celebration in Zagreb, which included a ride on a specially decorated tram and a performance by the Zagrebački anđeli children's choir. The event was designed to celebrate the deep connection between the club, the city, and the fans. The blue birthday tram, one of the most recognizable symbols of the city, drove through the streets of Zagreb and reminded everyone of the decades of coexistence between Dinamo and Zagreb. The festive atmosphere was contributed by the performance of the Zagrebački anđeli children's choir, which gave the celebration a family atmosphere and emphasized the importance of gathering all generations of fans. Throughout its 115 years of existence, Dinamo has established itself as the most successful Croatian club and one of the key sports symbols of the capital city. The club's trophy cabinets are filled with numerous domestic trophies, and notable successes have been achieved on the European scene. In addition, the club has created a number of legendary players who have left a deep mark on Croatian and world football. However, Dinamo has not always consistently celebrated its anniversaries. The date of the club's founding changed depending on the historical period and the interpretation of the club's legacy, so jubilees were tied to different years: the founding of HAŠK in 1903, Građanski in 1911, or Dinamo itself in 1945. This is evident in examples of celebrations from the past. The club celebrated its 95th anniversary in 1998, referring to the tradition of HAŠK. After the return of the name Dinamo, the 60th birthday of the club founded in 1945 was celebrated. Later, the club, as Građanski nogometni klub Dinamo, celebrated its centenary, relying on 1911 and the founding of Građanski. Today's celebration of the 115th birthday confirms that the club is once again referring to the legacy of Građanski. GNK Dinamo Zagreb continues its tradition and the fans will certainly continue to support their club in all its endeavors. And what the club will do in the future, only time will tell. But for now, the fans can be proud of their club and its achievements. So what is important, the club will continue to do what it does best - play football and win trophies.
