What happened?
GNK Dinamo Zagreb and the Dinamo Foundation Nema predaje have signed a partnership with the “Walk for Those Who Can't” project. The event will take place on September 5‑6, 2026 in Prelog and across Međimurje County, featuring a 100‑kilometre ultramarathon, sports and music performances, and inclusive activities for children and youth with disabilities.
Why does the project matter for Dinamo?
The initiative blends sport, health and solidarity – core values Dinamo promotes both on and off the pitch. The Dinamo Foundation, together with the Međimurje County Tourist Board and founder Danijela Lončarić, organizes the central event that will gather thousands of volunteers and athletes. Dinamo shows that sport can be a bridge to inclusion, and club involvement raises awareness, encouraging other organisations to follow suit.
How will the event run?
Participants can choose the full 100‑kilometre route or shorter sections, and anyone who simply wants to support the cause is welcome. In addition to walking, there will be football matches featuring well‑known athletes, inclusive volleyball games, children’s sprints over 100 and 200 metres, and a concert to close the weekend. Organisers also promise gastronomic surprises and many other attractions that will turn the weekend into a unique community experience.
What does the funding achieve?
Money raised through entry fees and donations on Entrio.hr will be directed to young people with disabilities in cooperation with the Association of the Blind of Međimurje County and the Dinamo Foundation. The “Step by Step” project continues spreading the message that sport knows no limits and that every step can support someone else.
Where does Dinamo stand in the league?
In the HNL, GNK Dinamo Zagreb leads the table with 86 points, 27 wins, 5 draws and 4 losses from 36 games, and the last five matches have all been victories (DWWWW). The club sits 18 points ahead of HNK Hajduk Split, having scored 93 goals while conceding only 28, a +65 goal difference.
What’s next?
Organisers invite everyone – athletes, companies, media and citizens – to join and become part of a story that changes Croatia step by step. The hashtag #WalkForThoseWhoCan’t remains the project’s trademark, and Dinamo continues to be a voice for inclusion and a healthy lifestyle.
